CUBS WIN FIFTH STRAIGHT GAME

The Chicago Cubs continued their hot streak Tuesday night as they won their 5th straight game-a 5-4 decision over the Kansas City Royals at Wrigley Field. Three homers powered the squad to the victory. Jason Heyward hit a two run shot in the 2nd, Jason Kipnis a two run blast in the 4th and Willson Contreras a solo shot in the 8th that proved to be the game winning tally. The Cubs were outhit by the Royals 10-9 and the visitors scored twice in the top of the 9th before reliever Kyle Ryan closed out the contest. Kyle Hendricks started and went 7 innings to improve to 2-1 on the season. The two teams will now shift to Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City to play two games starting Wednesday night.
