Illinois State Police District 12 out of Effingham has reported its activity and enforcement figures for the month of June. Troopers answered 185 calls and initiated 737 incident investigations in the field. Enforcement figures indicated that there were 252 citations issued during the month-161 of those were for Speeding, 1 DUI arrests was made, 5 seat belt citations were issued along with 3 child restraint citations. There were 10 distracted driving and 3 move over violations and 8 criminal arrests were made. There were also 61 traffic accidents investigated during June with 3 of those fatal.
