Organizers have announced that the 150th edition of the Jasper County Fair has now been cancelled. It had been scheduled in Newton. It joins the list of over 60 county fairs in the region which have been cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic and other related issues. Earlier, the Lawrence County Fair was cancelled along with fairs in Richland, Wabash, Crawford, White, Edwards, Clay, Wayne and Effingham counties among others.
