The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 658 confirmed new cases of coronavirus Monday with 23 additional deaths. Those numbers now bring to 128,415 the cases recorded in the state since the pandemic began with 5,924 deaths in 101 counties. There has been a fifth positive case of the disease in Lawrence County. However the Lawrence County Health Department indicates that the latest infected person was an out of state resident who was visiting the county and tested positive at a LCHD clinic. No other information on the individual was released. All four other cases have recovered and are not active.
