VINCENNES 4TH OF JULY PARADE CANCELLED

Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has announced that after careful deliberation with local health officials, it has been decided to cancelled the annual Fourth of July Parade through the city streets. The city cited problems with social distancing among others as problematic for the planned event. The city did announced that there will be fireworks on the Fourth. To assist with social distancing efforts, the fireworks display will be launched from another location on Richard Bauer Drive. The location will allow residents to view the fireworks from their homes and other convienient locations as the city works to limit large gatherings of people.
