Lawrenceville Police report that a 4 year old girl was hurt after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening on Ash Street east of 11th. A 2016 Dodge being driven by 23 year old Austin Deloriea of Lawrenceville was traveling in that area about 6:45 p.m. when the youth darted out in front of him and was hit. The girl was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Deloriea was not injured in the mishap. He was however charged with Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol) and was released from the Lawrence County Jail with a notice to appear.
