Terry Lynn “Turk” Cogdill

Terry Lynn “Turk” Cogdill, age 63 of St. Francisville, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family. He was born August 11, 1956 in Lawrenceville to Gilbert Cogdill and his wife Mary Frances (Winiger) Cogdill.

He married Phyllis Bullock, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2012.

Terry was a long-time member of the Free Methodist Church of St. Francisville and was very active within the church. He worked out of the Pipefitter Union Local #136. Turk enjoyed fishing and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies.

He is survived by: his daughter- Amanda Hager of Pinkstaff: four grandchildren- Brooklyn, Alexsis, Dalton and Skylar: two great grandchildren- Grayson and Kamden: one sister- Deborah Middleton of Olney: and one brother- Bill Cogdill and his wife Cammilla of St. Francisville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Cogdill, and his parents, Gilbert and Mary Cogdill.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the State of Illinois mandates and requirements, services for Terry will be private. A graveside service will be held for Terry “Turk” Cogdill at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in St. Francisville. Cunningham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
