The St Francisville City Council meeting in regular session Wednesday approved the fiscal year 2020-21 budget of approximately $993,800. City officials say that amount is about a $54,000 increase over the previous budget. The spending plan does include increases in employee salaries and wages and in the city bridge fund.  Mayor T.J. Moyes reported that there will need to be some tile replacement work done in the future on the overhead bridge. No firm time has been set for the work which will require the bridge to be closed. The city will get $46,000 through the Illinois Department of Transportation Fast Track Rebuild Illinois program announced recently. The council did move to grant permission to the St Francisville C.I.C. to use the river and baseball park for a planned fish fry on June 27th following existing state safety guidelines.
