Two area boys basketball coaches have been named by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association as Coach of the Year for their districts in 2019. Scott McElravy of the Fairfield Mules was selected as Class 2A District 20 Coach of the Year after his Mules went 27-5. Chester Reeder of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes was named Class 2A District 14 Coach of the year after leading his squad to a 22-11 record this past season.
