IHSA FALL SPORTS

The head of Illinois high school sports remains optimistic that student athletes will be able to compete again in the fall. Illinois High School Association Executive Director Craig Anderson said the governing Board will meet next month on June 15th to continue to study the matter. The IHSA has banned all sports teams from all summer practices and camps as long as the state shelter-in-place order remains in effect. Anderson says that if teams are allowed to organize by early August when pre-conditioning training and practices begin, he is confidant that fall sports will go on as planned.
