The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 1,151 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 59 additional deaths. The death toll includes a woman in her 80s in Jasper County here in southeastern Illinois. Cass County has now reported its first case of the disease. Lawrence County remains at two confirmed cases while neighboring Crawford County has reported its 5th case-a woman in her 50s who tested positive. There have now been a total of 31,508 cases of the virus with 1,349 deaths in 95 of the 102 Illinois counties since the pandemic began.
