It is now official. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger Friday ordered all schools throughout the state closed for the remainder of the year. Students will continue to recieve instruction and assignments via remote learning. Here in Lawrence County, Unit 20 Superintendent Doug Daugherty issued a statement indicating that an end of the year plan is being formulated for the district and will be announced to parents and students once it is completed. Red Hill Unit 10 Superintendent Jakie Walker also issued a statement saying the announcement by the governor will result in significant and multiple scheduling changes for the district and it’s teachers and it will take a few days to sort out the details. Once they are completed, parents and students will recieve the information.
