Illinois State Police District 12 out of Effingham has announced its activity and enforcement figures for the month of March. Troopers in the district which includes Lawrence, Richland and Crawford counties answered 154 calls for service and initiated 640 incident investigations in the field. There were 286 citations issued-119 for Speeding. There were 8 seat belt citations and 3 child restraint citations along with 20 distracted driving and 3 move over violations. Troopers also made 26 criminal arrests and investigated 57 traffic accidents-2 of which were fatal.
