Lawrenceville High School is now officially on the lookout for a new boys head basketball coach. The Unit 20 Board Wednesday night accepted a letter of resignation by Randy Bishop. Bishop had announced prior to last season that he would step down at the end of the year. Bishop coached the Indiana for 8 seasons with his team winning 15 games in his final year before being eliminated by Shelbyville in the Class 2A regional at Flora. He amassed over 700 total wins as a head coach at Martinsville, Casey-Westfield, Branson Missouri and Lawrenceville with win #700 coming in December at Edwards County. He will remain as a teacher at LHS with the basketball coaching position being posted.
