The Lawrence County Board met in regular session Wednesday at the county courthouse in Lawrenceville. They recieved an update on the county response to the coronavirus pandemic from Lawrence County Health Department Administrator Amy Marley. There was some discussion on possibly declaring a state of emergency but it was decided not to take the action at this time but circumstances could dictate action in the future. Sheriff Russell Adams announced that entry to the courthouse will be limited starting immediately with only one entrance under the north porch. Visitors will be screened regarding their health and business at the courthouse. The board did approve the bid of approximately $544,393 from Allendale Gravel for the Indian Creek bridge project and also approved a three year term for Rob Andrews on the Christy Fire Protection District.
