The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced 12 new cases of the coronavirus disease across the state. Two additional counties have now reported cases-Peoria and Will. That now brings the total cases to 105 in 15 counties with cases in all age ranges. The state of Indiana reported its first death from the disease in the Indianapolis area. State and public health officials continue to stress taking measures to avoid getting and spreading the virus such as limiting contact with other people and staying home if possible. Practice good general hygiene such as washing your hands throughly and masking coughs and sneezes.
