CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

The number of Illinois cases of the coronavirus has reached 66 with residents with the illness emerging in central and southern Illinois. The nearest case to the WAKO listening area is in Cumberland County. There were 4 new cases in Indiana bringing the total up to 19. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger has ordered all bars and resteraunts in the state to close to dine-in patrons from Monday night through Monday March 30th to help prevent spread of the virus. Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Crawford Memorial in Robinson, and Carle Richland Memorial in Olney have announced they will not permit visitors from the general public into their facilities. Public and private K-12 schools across Illinois have been ordered closed Tuesday through Monday March 30th by Governor Pritzger. There will be no extra-cirricullar activities.
