The Bridgeport City Council Tuesday night recieved a report from City Superintendent Shannon Selby that problems with some of the new city water meters had been rectified. They then voted to purchase more meters for installation at a reduced cost due to the problem. Also approved was the purchase of a new pipe locator for the city at around $4100. The city wide cleanup was discussed but no firm date has been set for the affair in May. The council Finance and Budget Committee will meet before the end of the month to begin work on the new fiscal year budget.
