The Red Hill Basketball Saluki season ended Wednesday night as they were beaten 73-42 by #8 ranked Effingham St Anthony in the semi-finals of the Class 1A Regional at Bridgeport. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the third quarter outscoring the host Salukis 23-9 during the period to extend a 10 point halftime lead. Drake Allen scored 16 and Anthony Jerrell 10 for the Salukis who finish at 11-20 on the season. Effingham St Anthony improves to 27-3 and will face Louisville (North Clay) in the regional final Friday at 7 p.m. The Cardinals defeated Odin 69-61 in the second semi-final Wednesday.
