Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has announced that Sonny Pinkstaff has resigned as chief of the Vincennes Fire Department. Pinkstaff had been chief for 5 years and during those years made great strides in firefighter and public safety. He was responsible for obtaining grant funding for new drone equipment, Project Livesaver, smoke detectors for installation in all Vincennes homes and new updated technology. Assistant Chief Brett Bobe will be Interim Chief until a new chief is appointed by the mayor.
