The National Weather Service indicates that a flood warning continues for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville till Saturday. The river was at 30.8 feet Thursday a little less than a foot above flood stage. It will rise to near 31 feet before cresting and falling below flood stage Saturday. The river has risen due to extensive rainfall and winter precipitation in the Northern Embarras River Basin flowing downstream to Lawrence County. Some minor flooding is occuring.
