The season is still alive for the Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians. They were winners in opening round action in the Class 2A Newton Regional over the host Newton Lady Eagles 49-35. The win improves them to 17-12 and sends them to the semifinals Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Teutopolis. The other semifinal will pit Pana against Mt Carmel. The Lady Golden Aces were 72-42 winners over Robinson in the other first round game Monday. The two winners will play each other Thursday at 7 p.m. for the championship.
