Second Judicial Circuit Chief Justice Thomas Tedeschi has announced that the week of February 8th through the 15th has been designated as National Court Reporting and Captioning Week by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger. The 2nd Circuit currently employs 13 full time court reporters who cover a 12 county area including Lawrence. Court reporting is a highly technical career which involves taking down spoken testimony in court and transcribing those words into written transcripts.
