HOSPITAL BOARD APPROVES SCHOLARSHIPS

The Lawrence County Memorial Hospital Board of Directors met Tuesday and did approve creating a scholarship program for local students. One $1000 scholarship each would be awarded to two individual students from Lawrenceville High School and Red Hill High School interested in the healthcare field. Hospital CEO Don Robbins indicated that numbers at the daytime acute care clinic have been up due to increased flu activity in the area. He also reported that John White has been promoted to Plant Operations Director at the hospital and interviews are still being conducted with candidates for the Human Resources.
