Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes is dedicating the month of February to heart health. Heart health is an important aspect of a person’s overall well-being. Heart disease kills about 647,000 people annually in the United States and is the leading cause of death for both men and women. The hospital will be providing free screenings and heart health information throughout the month. This Friday is National Wear Red Day. On that day hospital employees will be wearing red in support of raising awareness of women and heart disease.
