Jacob Williams hit two free throws with three second left to lift the Lawrenceville Basketball Indians to a 52-50 come from behind win over Flora Wednesday night in the consolation bracket semifinals of the Little Illini Conference Boys Basketball Tournament at Paris. The Tribe led after one quarter 10-7, but trailed 23-19 at the half and 35-34 after three quarters. The fourth quarter was a see-saw affair before the Indians made some offensive and defensive plays down the stretch with Williams being fouled on a loose ball play and hitting the clinching free throws. The Indians did place four players in double figures-Brenyn Winningham and Noah Weger each had 12 and Skyler Tewell and Blayne Winningham each added 11. With the victory the Indians improve to 12-9 on the season and will play Newton Friday at 5 p.m. for the consolation title. It is the second year in a row that they will play in that game. They won the consolation title at the tourney in Flora in 2019.
