The Unit 20 Board of Education is considering a proposal for a new food service program for the district in the future. Represenatives of OPAA a company based out of Chesterfield Missouri were on hand Wednesday night to brief the board  and answer questions regarding the operation and it’s offer. Superintendent Doug Daughtery told WAKO that OPAA services 15 Illinois school districts including Robinson, Hutsonville and Dietrich in southeastern Illinois. The  OPAA  proposal calls for retaining the current district cooking staff  with training under the company and offering an expanded menu at the various schools with financial savings to the district. The Board would still have to advertise for  bids from other  food management companies for service.
