A Lawrence County man escaped injury after his vehicle was involved in a four vehicle chain reaction collision in Effingham County on Tuesday. The Effingham County Sheriffs Department reports that the mishap occured on U.S. Route 45 south of Effingham. A vehicle being driven by Glenda Cooper of Flora was traveling north and rammed the rear of a vehicle stopped in traffic setting off the chain reaction. A vehicle being driven by 23 Garrat McCullough of Lawrenceville was one of those impacted. Again he was not hurt but Cooper and another driver from Louisville Illinois were and were both taken to St Anthonys Hospital in Effingham. Cooper was ticketed for Failure To Reduce Speed and No Vehicle Insurance.
