Illinois State Police report that a Knox County Indiana truck driver was hurt in a single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on Illinois Route 1 in southern Clark County Illinois. A 2020 Volvo Truck-Tractor being driven by 59 year old Gary McCrary of Freelandville was heading south on the highway pulling a tanker trailer full of ammonium nitrate fertilizer. The truck veered off the right side of the road and overturned. McCrary was taken by ambulance to Terre Haute regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Authorities indicate that no charges were issued in connection with the mishap.
