INDIANS RALLY OVER HUT-PAL

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians used a strong third quarter defensive effort to break open a tight game and beat the Hutsonville-Palestine Tigers  75-46 Tuesday night at LHS. The Tigers jumped in front 12-0 to start the game and led 16-10 after one quarter before the Tribe steadied the ship and took a 27-26 lead at the half. They then outscored the Tigers 28-5 in the third quarter spurred by a 15-0 run to put the game away and lead 55-31 after three quarters enroute to their second win in a row. The Indians were led by Blayne Winningham with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Logan Williams provided a spark off the bench with 14 points including 4 three point baskets and Brenyn Winningham added 13 points off the bench. The Indian JV also won 50-16 with Hunter Scott scoring 19 and Damon Zollars adding 11. The Indians are now 9-6 on the season and will continue non-conference play Friday at Fairfield.
