The Red Hill Basketball Salukis lost in the fifth place game of the 66th annual Conrad Allen Holiday Tournament at Wayne City Saturday afternoon. The Salukis were beaten soundly 77-51 by the host Wayne City Indians. Drake Allen led the Saluki scoring with 23 points. Camren Ray of the Salukis was selected to the All-Tournament Team. With their second straight loss, the Salukis fall to 4-8 on the season. They will begin defense of their Dieterich Holiday Tournament title Thursday when they meet Cowden Herrick-Beecher City in the opening round of pool play Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The game can be heard on the Legend 99.3 FM and AM 910 with Ryan Seed and Joe Bogard. North Clay won the tournament over Crab Orchard 70-62, Cisne beat Gallatin County 50-42 for third, and Webber Township beat Grayville for 7th place 54-35.
