The Illinois unemployment rate fell to a historic low last month. The Department of Employment Security says that November was another good month for the state’s economy with the jobless rate coming in at 3.8%. Individual unemployment rates for Lawrence and surrounding counties in southeastern Illinois were not yet available from the IDES. The national unemployment rate for November was 3.5%.
