The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education has approved the 2019 Certicicate of Tax Levy for 2019 for the district. The move was made after a public hearing. It anticipates an increase of around 6% in the Equalized Assessed Valuation and will raise to around 7.67%. The additional money raised will go toward help in funding a school resource officer from the tort fund and other uses according to Superintendent Jakie Walker. The board also approved the quote from D and H Glass of $250 to replace the Sumner Attendance Center cafeteria door. A report was given on the cost of making planned improvement at Leigh Ann Westall Softball Field in Bridgeport. The matters was referred to the building and grounds committee for study and review.
