One person is dead as the result of a two vehicle fatal accident on U.S. 41 north of Oaktown in Knox County Indiana. Indiana State Police report that around 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday a 2011 Chevrolet being driven by 62 year old Karen Burr of Oaktown was traveling south on 41 and rammed the rear of a slow moving 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer having mechanical issues. The Freightliner was being driven by 58 year old Albert Riddle of Chicago. He was not hurt in the collison, but Burr was pronounced dead of her injuries at the scene by the Knox County Coroner. Investigation into the accident circumstances continues.
