The Lawrence Unit 20 Board of Education has approved it’s fiscal year 2019 audit. It was presented to the board by Curt Bensen of Kemper CPA who characterized it as a clean audit with no significant issues. After a public hearing, they approved the district tax levy which will increase by 7.28%. Also approved was a tuition waiver for non-resident children of Unit 20 full time employees and a dual credit agreement with Illinois Eastern Community College District #529. Superintendent Doug Daugherty also indicated that with the use of two snow days this week, the district has now used three of its allotted days for the year.
