Fire broke out early Monday morning at a northern Knox County residence. Firefighters from Freelandville and the surrounding area were called out about 4 a.m. Eastern Time to the fire location-a residence in the 9300 block of Pepmeier Road near the Oaktown Road. The home did sustain major damage in the blaze. No other information was being released including a cause. The Indiana State Fire Marshall has been called in to assist in the investigation.
