Illinois State Police out of District 12 in Effingham have announced their activity and enforcement figures for the month of November. District 12 does include Lawrence County. District 12 answered 283 calls for service during the month and initiated 1904 incident investigations in the field. There were 870 citations issued in November-520 were for Speeding, 117 for no seat belts, and 3 for no child restraints. There were 55 distracted driving violations and 14 move over violations. Troopers made 17 criminal arrests and 11 arrests for DUI. They also investigated 152 traffic accidents in November with three of those being fatal.
