VINCENNES CITY COUNCIL MEETS

The Vincennes City Council met in regular session at City Hall Monday night and after a lengthy and spirited discussion voted 4-3 to approve a resolution of transparency for the council in the future. City Council President Duane Chattin was the sponsor of the resolution and indicated that it merely calls for an annual report of the compensation levels of members of the council including salaries and insurance. The Council also approved an ordinance governing the transfer of various city funds totalling over $404,000 to various departments prior to the end of the year. They also approved 2 ordinances adopting amendments to the Knox County Zoning ordinance for two properties inside the city limits.
