Ten Lawrence County students have been selected as Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Ali Andrews, Colin Bensen, Joesph Hartz, Allie Johnson, Whitney Labo, Hannah Murray and Nick Scherer of Red Hill and Megan Hatcher, Elsie Whewell, and James Burk of Lawrenceville were named this week. Illinois State Scholars are selected annually based on their SAT and ACT scores along with their sixth semester class ranking.
