Byron Nicholas Brumfiel, 38, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his residence.

He was born October 31, 1981 in Bedford, Indiana the son of Byron F. “Barney” Brumfiel and Jeanette Brumfiel.

Byron worked for Hershey in Robinson, Illinois. His previous employers were JV Pools and Spas in Lawrenceville and the Bridgeport Body Shop. He was baptized at the Linton First Christian Church in Linton, Indiana. He was a 2000 graduate of Sullivan High School and held an Automotive Mechanic Certificate from Olney Central College. He was a World War II buff and was an avid reader. He enjoyed video games, 80’s music and his Olds 442 Cutlass. He was a passionate Purdue fan. Everyone loved his quick-witted humor and his outgoing personality. He was loved by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Lorraine Brumfiel, Betty and Bill Pheffer, and Trula and Gilbert Strunk.

Surviving are his father, Byron F. “Barney” Brumfiel and his wife, Dixie of Lawrenceville, Illinois; mother, Jeanette Brumfiel of Bronston, Kentucky; sister, Chelsea Richardson and her husband, Andy of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Aaron Bahr of O’Fallon, Missouri; nephew and nieces: Ryder Richardson, Lauren Richardson and Maddox Bahr; grandparents, Jerald and Bobbee Grigsby; aunts and uncles, Ray and Sandi Brumfiel, Andy and Vicky Brumfiel, Judy Kissick, and Beverly and Kenny Ellis; and several beloved cousins.

The funeral will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 6:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation is also Tuesday from 4:00pm until the service hour of 6:00pm.
