Another candidate has announced his intentions to run for Congress. Vermillion County Illinois Treasurer Darren Duncan made the declaration this week. He will run for the Republican nomination for the 15th District Congressional seat in the March 2020 primary. That seat is being vacated by longtime legislator John Shimkus who is retiring. Duncan has been the Treasurer in Vermillion County since 2017.
