The Vincennes City Council voted down a proposed change to the Council Health Insurance coverage. The 4-3 vote negated changing the city insurance to cover only council members and not their spouses and families. Those people are covered under the current city insurance. The Board of Works and Safety approved a bid from Wagler and Sons of Montgomery for the enclosed park shelter house roof replacement. No timetable has been set for the project yet as the Indiana Department of Natural Resources must approve the bid. The Board also approved a five year contract for cyber-security upgrades to city departments. Also approved was a curb cut at 1602 Washington Avenue that will aid in the Cantwell property expansion at the location.
