Both the Lawrence County Historical Society and Lawrence Public Library have public activities Sunday. The Historical Society will have an open house for it latest display highlighting farming and agriculture in Lawrence County over the years. It will be from 1 until 4 p.m. at the History Center at the corner of 12th and State Streets in downtown Lawrenceville. A special over 120 page book on the subject will also be available for sale at the event. The Lawrence Public Library will host the unveiling of it’s 1911 T.C. Steele oil painting “Brown County Road” at 2 p.m. It will be displayed near the main entrance of the facility on 12th Street in downtown Lawrenceville. Light refreshments will be served after.
