Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has announced that effective Wednesday Dusty Luking had resigned as Police Chief and was retiring from the Vincennes Police Department. In a written statement Mayor Yochum indicated he is moving forward to select a new police chief in the near future. Luking had been placed on paid administrative leave after the FBI had visited the Vincennes Police Department earlier this year. In the interim Assistant Chief Terry Johnson and Sergeant Jon McKinnon will be in charge of the day to day operation of the department. No other details regarding the matter were released.
