This past Saturday former Lawrenceville High School graduate, coach, and athletic director Larry Lockhart was honored by Mt Carmel High School by having his name inscribed on the “Wall of Legends” monument at the school. The “Wall of Legends” recognizes 100 years of Mt Carmel High School football and recognizes those coaches who have had a great impact on the program. Lockhart coached the Golden Aces for eight years from 1983 through 1991. His teams went 69-18 over that period and made the IHSA playoffs each year of his tenure with a winning percentage of .793. Lockhart is also a member of the Lawrenceville High School Sports Hall of fame and the Evansville Football Hall of Fame.
