Dalton “Finn” R. Hightshoe, age 27, of rural Sumner, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 26,1992 in Lawrenceville, Illinois the son of Jerry J. Hightshoe and Dawn Heath.
Dalton worked for Franklin Oil in Lawrenceville, Illinois, in various areas of the business. He was a member of the Fountain Family Worship Center in Bridgeport, Illinois. He enjoyed being outdoors. Fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing the guitar were the many things he enjoyed. Most important to him was spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father to Aiden and Aubree, son, brother and fiancé.
Survivors include his mother and father, Dawn and Joe Fleming; his fiancée, Becca Schmitt; two children, Aiden and Aubree; sister Chelsea Fleming; and one niece, Iris Rose. His father, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Fountain Family Worship Center in Bridgeport, Illinois.
