INDIANA NEXT LEVEL ROADS FUNDING

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Department of Transportation announced this week that 229 cities, towns, and counties will recieve a combined $99.2 million in state matching funds for local road projects through the Next Level Roads Community Crossings Initiative. To qualify for the funding local governments must provide matching funds-50% for larger communities and 25% for smaller communities from a funding source approved for road and bridge construction. They must also submit an INDOT approved asset management plan for maintaining existing roads and bridges. Among the recipients are Knox County at over $384,000, Vincennes at over $438,000 and Bicknell at over $411,000.
