CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT MATTOON

The Lawrenceville-Red Hill Cross Country Indians competed Wednesday in the 18 team Mattoon Invitational meet. The boys team finished 14th in the team standings with 349 points. Richland County won the competition with 73 points followed by host Mattoon with 120, Robinson was third with 141 and Taylorville was fourth with 146. Brayden Green of the Indians was 10th as an individual in 16:52.69. Other finishers were Trevor Parker 74th at 19:10.48, Seth Seitzinger 79th at 19:17.72, Kollin Ramos 118th at 20:36.98 and Colin Bensen 126th at 20:52.17. In the girls race Katie Moore finished 33rd in 21:12.77, Cara Eagleson 35th in 21:15.41, and Ophelia Klein 49th in 22:07.99. The next action will be the Robinson Invitational on October 3rd.
