Reports out of Wayne County Illinois indicate that a local female pumpkin farmer is being thought of as a potential candidate for Congress. Sarah Frey is the owner of a company which supplies pumpkins nationwide to Walmart. Republican leaders at the federal level are looking for a viable female candidate to run for the 15th District Congressional seat be vacated by John Shimkus who is not seeking re-election in 2020. It is thought that Frey’s background in business and agriculture would be an asset if she chooses to run. So far, Frey has not announced her intentions.
