The Vincennes City Council has approved an ordinance on first reading for its 2020 fiscal year budget. The move was made after a public hearing and a briefing on the fiscal year spending plan by the City’s financial consultants-Reedy Financial. The approximately $15.5 million dollar budget does include a 4% across the board raise for employees. Formal adoption of the budget will be done on Tuesday October 15th. It will then be sent to the state for it’s inspection and approval.
